This Privacy Policy explains how the Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide Community (the “Community,” “we,” “us,” “our”), operated by Celestial Church of Christ — Bilehou Oshoffa Miracle Land Parish, collects, uses, shares and protects your personal information when you visit or use celestialchurchchrist.org (the “Platform”). We serve members around the world, and this Policy is written to respect privacy laws including the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended (CCPA/CPRA), and other applicable laws.
By using the Platform you acknowledge this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
1. Who we are (data controller)

2. Information we collect
- Account & profile data: name, username, nickname, email address, password (stored encrypted), and any profile details, photo, bio, location or interests you choose to add.
- Content you share: forum posts, replies, prayer requests, comments, group activity, direct messages, media (photos, documents, video) and anything else you submit.
- Membership & payment data: if you join a paid tier or give, your membership level and billing history. Card/payment details are collected and processed directly by our payment processor (Stripe) — we do not see or store your full card number.
- Social-login data: if you sign in with Google or Facebook, we receive basic profile information (such as your name and email) from that provider, per their permissions.
- Technical & usage data: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring pages, and similar server-log and analytics data.
- Cookies & similar technologies: as described in Section 5.
- Communications: messages you send us (e.g., support or contact requests).
3. How we use your information & legal bases
We use your information to:
- Create and manage your account and provide the Community (legal basis: performance of a contract / our legitimate interests).
- Process memberships, donations and payments through Stripe (contract).
- Send service emails — registration, activation, password resets, notifications and important notices — delivered via SendGrid (contract / legitimate interests).
- Operate, secure, moderate and improve the Platform and keep the Community safe (legitimate interests; legal obligation).
- Understand usage through analytics (consent, where required, or legitimate interests).
- Comply with law and protect our rights, members and the public (legal obligation; legitimate interests).
Where we rely on consent (e.g., certain cookies or optional communications), you may withdraw it at any time.

We use cookies and similar technologies that are strictly necessary for login, security and the Platform to function. We also use analytics (e.g., Google Analytics) to understand how the Community is used. Depending on your location, we will seek consent for non-essential cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling essential cookies may break core features.
6. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with trusted service providers (“processors”) who act on our instructions, and where required by law:
- Email delivery: SendGrid (Twilio Inc.).
- Payments: Stripe, Inc. (for memberships and giving).
- Analytics: Google (Google Analytics).
- Authentication: Google and Meta/Facebook (only if you choose social login).
- Hosting & infrastructure: our hosting and content-delivery providers.
We may also disclose information to comply with law, enforce our Terms, respond to lawful requests, or protect the rights, safety and property of the Community, our members or the public. If the Parish’s operations are reorganised, information may be transferred as part of that change, subject to this Policy.
7. International data transfers
We are based in the United States and our service providers may process data in the U.S. and other countries. If you access the Platform from the EEA, the UK, or elsewhere, your information may be transferred to and processed in countries whose data-protection laws may differ from yours. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses) for such transfers. 8. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Community, comply with legal and tax obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. When you close your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate record-keeping (for example, donation and payment records).
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections, hashed passwords, access controls and reputable processors. No online service can be perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security; please use a strong, unique password and keep it confidential.
10. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you and receive a copy.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Delete your data (“right to be forgotten”), subject to legal exceptions.
- Restrict or object to certain processing, including direct marketing.
- Data portability (receive your data in a portable format).
- Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.
- For California residents: know what we collect, request deletion, and not be discriminated against for exercising your rights. We do not sell or “share” personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising.
To exercise any right, email support@cccbilehouoshoffa.org; we may need to verify your identity. You may also edit your profile or request account deletion at any time. If you are in the EEA or UK and believe we have not handled your data properly, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection supervisory authority.
11. Children
The Platform is intended for users aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country where higher). If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Third-party links
The Platform may link to other websites (including our parish website and the Flomicso Network). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party sites; please review their policies.
13. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The “last updated” date shows the latest revision, and significant changes will be communicated through the Platform. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Policy.
